About the Editor

Bee Love was born and raised in the Great Plains state of Kansas, one of those "rectangular" or "fly-over" states that most people haven't been to. Even if you've visited Kansas City, that's really in Missouri, not Kansas. Despite existing in the cultural desert of rural farmland, she spent a great deal of time in the city library reading and learning about the rest of the world.

After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Kansas, where she chose a degree in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. She also participated in music, playing in marching band, wind ensemble, and orchestra throughout her university years.

She worked for several years in the real estate industry as a title agent, researching properties for the chain of title, and as an ACH professional, providing answers for financial institutions about automated payments. Later, she came to work for a small company with a big mission of helping hospitals keep patients safer.

Heading back to school, Bee most recently received a master's degree in Library Science and Information Management and worked as a Records Management Specialist for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs in Honolulu, Hawai`i, before she returned to the mainland. She now works in a large library system of 32 branches overseeing the cataloging and processing of library materials.
