Elizabeth "Bee" Love was born and raised in the Great Plains state of Kansas, one of those "rectangular" or "fly-over" that most people haven't been to. Even if you've visited Kansas City, that's really in Missouri, not Kansas. Despite the cultural desert or ruler farmland, she spent a great deal of time in the library reading and learning about the rest of the world.
After graduating from Kingman High School, she attended the University of Kansas, at first aiming for a degree in Music Education, but she changed degrees to Creative Writing. Despite the change, she continued with music, playing in marching band, wind ensemble, and orchestra throughout her university years.
She worked for several years in the real estate industry as a title agent, researching properties for the chain of title, and as an ACH professional, providing answers for financial institutions about automated payments. Later, she came to work for a small company with a big mission of helping hospitals keep patients safer.
Heading back to school, Bee most recently recieved a master's degree in Library Science and Information Management and now works as a Records Management Specialist for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs in Honolulu, Hawai`i.
